Toad’s Weekly Assessment #13

Eating breakfast every morning seems to be making a big difference with my appetite. Who would have guessed? For whatever reason the days I eat breakfast are the days I feel hungry like a normal person for at least one other meal. This is a relief.

Pretty sure the lack of energy is due to the cooler weather. To me it’s already cold. If I am already feeling freezing at this point in the season, then it’s going to be a long winter. I probably ought to start tracking how much exercise I do each day, if at all, as well since Scholar Owl has been insisting that I go walking with him for his homeschool P.E. We are already brainstorming how we are going to cover this during the winter. We have talked about going to the community center to go walk inside once it starts snowing, but I have also considered using the Wii-Fit (or whatever it’s called) disk to shake things up a bit. I know there are dancing games too for the Wii and Xbox as well. Maybe this will help with my energy levels – or maybe this is why I’ve been feeling so tired because we live on a steep hill and that’s where we have been walking. We’ll see. I have to believe at some point my body will get used to it.

Notes

  • Found out at my med clinic appointment today that I have lost another 2.5 pounds since my last med clinic appointment. I have now lost all of the weight I had gained from the Abilify and now the med clinic is worried. I am freezing when it is 70 degrees Fahrenheit or below now. I hate it. How can anyone consider this to be healthy?! I used to love Fall but now by mid-day I’m cold and exhausted. Meanwhile my 12 yr old is still complaining about sweating to death and still wants the air conditioner on. All of my dietary knowledge tells me that I cannot drop below 140. Moving back in with my parents is probably the best thing to happen in this regard since it is easier for me to eat in a social setting (even if it’s just at the family table) that it is anywhere else or any other time. There is a lot to be said about having family and friends (and awesome food) at the table with you. My med clinic staff confirmed what I already knew: it’s time I start forcing myself to eat. I don’t know how to do that. How the hell does anyone do that?
